n How do I find a setting, group or club near me?

Go to the Groups page and pick the Branch for your area of Gloucestershire, or try the Search facility.
 

n If I am a committee member at Playgroup, am I a trustee?

Yes. The Charity Commission booklet "The Essential Trustee (CC3)" and "Summary (CC3(a))" shows the main duties and responsibilities of charity trustees. 

n Do we need to comply with the Data Protection Act?

Yes, but you may not need to join the Register. You can find out whether you are exempt by checking the notification section of www.ico.gov.uk. If you do need to register, the standard annual fee is £35, (beware of bogus agencies requesting payment for data protection registration). The Data Protection helpline is 01625 545745 or mail@ico.gsi.gov.uk. You may find this booklet useful.

n How do I find out about training?

We publish a Training Programme each term which lists the courses running and at what locations in the County. You can also ring PATA's Training Dept on 01452 541244

n How can I join PATA?

n Who can I talk to about a problem in my group/club?

Each playgroup is supported by a Branch Fieldworker; each toddler group is supported by a Toddler Support Worker. Follow the link and pick your branch for the name and contact details of your support workers, or call the PATA centre 01452 541244. Out of School Clubs are supported by the Out of School Fieldworker on 07813 447962 or 01452 541244.
