Out of school
clubs and holiday playschemes
PATA out of
school clubs and holiday playschemes offer high quality provision for
schoolchildren aged up to 16 years.
They provide
parents and carers with reliable, high quality childcare to meet their working
commitments. Many adults choose to get involved with the running of the club to
benefit their children and the local community.
Mainly run by
an elected committee or as a private business, these clubs and playschemes
operate before or after school or both.
An out of school club can be:

A Breakfast
Club – open in the mornings before school so children can enjoy breakfast
there

An After
School Club – open in the afternoons between about 3:00pm and 6:00pm

A Before and
After School Club – open before and after school
-
A Holiday
Playscheme which operates during some or all school holidays
