The PATA Rural Crèche Service provides childcare in rural locations,
enabling parents and other local adult learners to return to learn, and
eventually to work. It is also used to support local activities and events
organised by other agencies such as Health, Libraries, Business Link and
Children’s Centres.
Qualified childcare staff run the crèche in rural venues adjacent to
where learning activities are taking place.
The service initially started in the north Cotswolds, as the
accessibility issues are greatest here, but is expanding to other rural
areas such as the Forest of Dean.
