Course Information: Research shows that there can be a massive gap in the development of boys compared to girls, with some being a whole year behind. This course will consider ways to adapt your environment to make it more appropriate for different types of learning and how to be creative in engaging boys.
"All children, irrespective of ethnicity, culture or religion, home language, family background, learning difficulties or disabilities, gender or ability should have the opportunity to experience a challenging and enjoyable programme of learning and development." (EYFS Statutory Guidance).
This workshop looks honestly at the behaviour of boys in your settings. We will consider the innate hormonal, neurological and physical differences between girls and boys, and touch on how stereotyping may influence their play. With a renewed understanding we will look at the enabling environment we provide and share practical ideas which will empower boys to achieve the best they can within your setting whilst building their confidence and self esteem.
