Course Aim: This is an additional course available to those who have attended the Introduction to Autism course. Please note you must have attended the 'Introduction to Autism' course before booking onto this course.
Course Information: Building on the knowledge gained in the Introduction to Autism course, during this session we will consider the following:
· Managing challenging behaviour
· Going on trips; avoiding pitfalls and achieving positive outcomes
· Supporting the family
Suitable For: Anyone who works or volunteers with children and would like a better understanding of what to look out for and how to support children with autism.
Delivered by: Sara Watters, Lead Practitioner and Senior Learner Support Worker, HLTA and QCF Assessor for The Milestone School. Sara has 20 years of classroom experience, 15 of which have been at The Milestone School.
