CHILD BEHAVIOUR - UNDERSTANDING THEIR WORLD

Course Aim: To provide an insight into why children may be behaving differently following the Coronavirus lockdown and thinking about how best to support those children.

Course Information: -

During this workshop, we will:

  • Think about the child’s world and their understanding of what has been happening during lockdown;
  • Look in detail at functional behaviour and understand it as a way of communicating;.
  • Consider how emotions, experiences and processing plays a part in new behaviours;
  • Start to think about useful behaviour management strategies when behaviour has become functional.

Additional information: – whilst we are focusing on the current situation (i.e. Covid-19), the information on this workshop is applicable irrespective of more challenging times.
