Levels of Involvement in Practice

Please note the date of this course has changed to 1st March (from the original advertised date of 1st February)

Course Aim: An introduction to Laevers levels of well-being and involvement and how they can be used effectively within the early years, to reflect on own practice and take new ideas back to our setting

Course Info: During this 2 hour workshop we will develop an understanding and workable knowledge of Laevers scales by:

  • Exploring the Leuven scales of well-being and involvement: Understanding  how we meet a child’s emotional and social needs
  • Assessing  the quality of our equipment and learning environment.
  • Identifying how we recognise and measure well-being and involvement.
  • Discussing  the impact of using these scales on our children, staff and setting.
  • Creating an action plan of how we can use these assessments in our setting.
Whilst we welcome any questions throughout the session, there will be a Q and A session at the end and an opportunity for everyone to discuss what has been learnt.
