‘Understanding the world involves guiding children to make sense of their physical world and their community. The frequency and range of children’s personal experiences increases their knowledge and sense of the world around them…. As well as building important knowledge, this extends their familiarity with words that support understanding across domains’.

Course Aim: The aim of this session is to explore how our environments, both indoors and outdoors can support, develop and enhance children’s curiosity and understanding of the world around them.
Course Information: During the session, we will:
Delivered by: Helen Tate who has worked in education for over 26 years, the majority in Early Years. She has been a Deputy Head at a Teaching School providing guidance, training and support. She is also an Early Years Teacher and Consultant for a Local Authority.
Suitable For: Any Early Years Practitioners, Early Years Leaders, Teaching Assistants and Reception Teachers
