Understanding and Supporting the Anxious Child (Early Years, OOSC, KS1 and KS2)

Course Aim: To provide staff working in Early Years Settings, Schools or Out of School Clubs with an understanding of how anxiety can impact on a child.

Course Information: During this workshop, we will:

  • Explore anxiety and how the brain reacts to it;
  • Have an opportunity to discuss how anxiety manifests in their setting;
  • Consider how anxiety impacts on the behaviour of a child;
  • Start to think about how to support a child with anxiety.  

Delivered by: Colette Etheridge, a counsellor and parenting practitioner.

Suitable For: Any Early Years Practitioners from support staff to Managers; anyone who works or volunteers with children in either Key Stage 1 or 2 and in a Playwork setting (Out of School Club) including breakfast, after school and holiday clubs.
