    Level 3 Early Years Practitioner required, 16 hours a week, permanent contract. Term-time only. 

    We are looking for a talented and qualified Early Years Practitioner to work across our PATA Managed Groups. Applicants must be appropriately qualified at level 3 or above in childcare and have the ability to travel to our settings.

    As a peripatetic Early Years Practitioner, you will be responsible for supporting staffing requirements at PATA’s 5 PATA Managed Group (PMG) settings in Gloucester, Cheltenham, Dursley, and Chepstow. You will work closely with setting teams to provide the highest standard of care and education for the children.

    The setting addresses are: 

    Elmbridge Under Fives, Gloucester. GL2 0LN

    Tiny Tots, Gloucester. GL2 OAT

    Funbusters, Dursley. GL11 5SF

    Penguins, Chepstow. NP16 7DT

    Winchcombe, Gloucestershire. GL54 5QJ

    Whilst the hours are fixed per week, you will be required to be flexible and able to travel to our settings, dependent on location, occasionally leaving home at 8am to be able to support a session starting at 9am.

    Our popular, friendly and well-established playgroup is located on the site of Castle Hill Primary School, Brockworth. Busy Bees Playgroup is a registered charity, run by a voluntary managed committee.

    A vacancy has become available for an enthusiastic, hardworking, fun-loving, self-motivated, caring and responsible early years practitioner to join our dedicated team. The successful person will take on key person responsibilities and assist with the planning and delivery of activities following the early years framework for children age 2 – 4 years. They will plan and supervise play activities; encourage positive behaviour; communicate with parents/carers; carry out child observation and assist with lunchtime duties.

    Applicants should have at least an appropriate level 3 qualification, appropriate safeguarding and first aid qualification and a good knowledge of the EYFS.     Looking to recruit Relief/Bank Staff as soon as possible in our lovely Committee run Pre-School. We are open Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 2:30pm, term time for 39 weeks. Therefore cover would be required on an adhoc basis between these times to cover sickness and training.

    The applicant would need to have a full and relevant Level 2 or 3 childcare qualification, have experience of working within an Early Years Setting and would need to be prepared to carry out any necessary training needed such as Child Protection, First Aid and Food Hygiene. Courses will also be provided to enhance your Continuous Professional Development.

    You will need to fully understand the EYFS, be aware of staffing ratios at all times and help with record keeping and making observations of the children. The candidate will support the full staff team by following our policies and procedures to provide a high standard of childcare.

    We will require you to attend some staff meetings or inset days where needed, communicate with parents in a positive manner and be aware of differing needs of a wide range of children.

    Early Years Teacher (Maternity Cover) - We are recruiting an enthusiastic, experienced and proactive early years Teacher, to work within our mixed-age class, with the children in their final Pre-School year, on a year-round basis. 31 – 36.5 hours per week. Full time, fixed term contract for 12 months. £15.50 per hour.

    Applicants should have experience as either a Reception Class Teacher, or one who has led a Kindergarten/Pre-School. You will be expected to provide an enhanced DBS, and should provide relevant references.

    Your duties will include planning and activity delivery to the EYFS and our CHILD-based Nursery curriculum, as well as both indoor and outdoor play. You must have an excellent understanding of child development, the ability to follow and contribute to our policies and procedures, and enjoy maintaining and developing a safe and stimulating learning environment.

    Our chosen candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong teamwork abilities, a caring and calm attitude, and the ability to form close relationships with children, parents and staff.

    It is desirable, though not essential, that the candidate has experience using online learning journals, and you will preferably hold a current paediatric first aid certificate and have attended recent safeguarding training - although these can both be provided.
