    Early Years Practitioner (Level 2 Essential, Level 3 Desirable). Part-time, Permanent Contract. Monday 8:45am -11.45am, Thursdays and Fridays, 8:45am – 3:15pm (16 hours per week, 39 weeks per year, term time, including INSET days). There may be some flexibility in hours and days for the right candidate.  There may also be opportunities for additional hours to cover staff absence or busy periods, offering flexibility for those looking to increase their hours. Salary: £13.82 – £14.93 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications and responsibilities. Start date: September 2026 (subject to notice periods).

    We are a voluntary-run charity based in the Leigh Building at St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School in the picturesque village of Nympsfield. We are open Monday to Friday, term time only and pride ourselves on being a nurturing, supportive setting for both children and staff.

     We are looking for a kind, caring and reliable individual who is enthusiastic, proactive, patient and adaptable. You will ideally hold a minimum Level 2 qualification in the Early Years. However Level 3 qualification in Early Years is desirable. You will have experience working in an Early Years setting, be able to work as part of an established team and demonstrate strong communication skills. A good understanding of the EYFS is desirable and will be further developed within the role. First Aid and Safeguarding training are desirable but not essential, as training can be provided by the setting.

    Playgroup Bank Staff Needed - Term Time Only, Part Time, Temporary.

    Woodchester Playgroup are looking for enthusiastic and experienced early years professionals to join the bank staff team. We run a welcoming and child centred playgroup open daily during term time from 9:00am - 3:00pm, Monday to Friday.

    This flexible role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children aged 2 – 4 years, supporting their play, learning, and wellbeing in a friendly, inclusive setting. Level 3 Early Years Qualification (NNEB, NVQ3, BTEC or equivalent) is an essential requirement.

    You will be stepping in to cover staff absences and busy periods, helping us maintain a safe and engaging space where every child feels valued.

    You will support the children to follow their own ideas and interests for play and carry out paper-based observations and communicate effectively with parents/carers.

    Playgroup Bank Staff required - Term Time Only, Part-Time, Temporary Position. Pay: £12.71.

    Whiteshill Playgroup has been serving the families of Whiteshill and the wider Stroud area since 1985. We have a fantastic team, all of whom are professional, enthusiastic, and passionate about early years education.

    We are seeking experienced early years practitioners to join our bank staff team, mostly covering for illness, busy periods, and other unexpected events. The role is on an ad hoc basis, but it’s likely that at least one successful applicant will be offered one day a week until the end of the academic year.

    The playgroup is open daily during term time from 8:30am - 3:00pm, Tuesday to Friday, and welcomes children between 2 and 4 years old.

    Applicants should possess an NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Early Years Education & Childcare or equivalent, and be proactive and motivated to assist the existing team in the day-to-day running of the setting. You will help deliver play-based activities for the children that foster a fun and stimulating environment, and support their learning and development in accordance with the EYFS framework.

    (Level 3) Early Years Educator to be a Room Lead. Full-time, Permanent. Hours: Monday to Friday - (40) hours per week. (8:00am – 4:00pm). Term time only, 39 weeks per year, including 5 INSET days.

    We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kids Club assistant to join our team. This role involves providing a safe, engaging, and fun environment for children in our After School Club which runs from 3:00pm – 6:00pm. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children.

    Responsibilities include supervising and engaging with children in various activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Planning and implementing age-appropriate games and crafts. Maintaining a clean and organised play area, ensuring all toys and equipment are safe for use. Communicating effectively with parents regarding their children's experiences and collaborating with other staff members to create a positive atmosphere within the Kids Club.

    The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working with children in a childcare setting or nursery, with a background in early childhood education. Strong communication skills in English are required to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.

    Early Years Educator. Monday to Thursday afternoons, 12:30pm to 6:00pm. Hours can be discussed but would be looking at a minimum of 22 hours a week. We are an open all year round nursery in the Reddings area of Cheltenham. Salary will be discussed during the interview stage and will be based upon qualifications and experience.
