    Deputy Nursery Manager required, full time (30 hours per week), 9:30am – 3:30pm, Monday – Friday. Salary: £22,000-£23,000 pro rata. Start Date: ASAP.

    The Family Haven is a registered charity, providing a day centre for parents and children who are socially isolated and in need of extra support. We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and passionate Nursery Deputy practitioner to join our small, friendly team.

    We are looking for that special someone who can smile, sing and enjoys their work all day long. That special person that can make each child feel valued and welcomed. We are a home from home setting, with daily, freshly cooked meals for everyone, including you!

    We require an Early Years Level 3 as a minimum qualification to join the team. Management 2 years post qualification. A good understanding of safeguarding, child protection, EYFS and wellbeing is essential.

    This special role will include working with children to provide high quality care and education, working closely with a small team to support you and working in partnership with our parents, most of whom stay on site. You will support each key person with their children, taking responsibility in the absence of the manager when required and supporting and maintaining daily routines.

    The Family Haven (TFH) are looking for Trustees. Vacancies available include Deputy Chairman of Trustees, Volunteers Trustee, Friends Trustee, Events Trustee.

    The Trustees have control of the Charity and are responsible for its activities, property and funds.

    We need trustees who can:

    1. Ensure that TFH pursues its objects as defined in the Memorandum of Association and in accordance with the Mission statement.

    2. Ensure that TFH complies with its constitution, charity law, company law and any other relevant legislation or regulations.

    3. Contribute actively to the board of trustees' role in giving firm strategic direction to TFH, setting overall policy, defining goals, setting targets and evaluating performance against agreed targets.

    4. Safeguard the good name and values of TFH.

    5. Ensure the sustainability of TFH.

    1:1 Early Years Practitioner Position Part-time, Fixed Term Contract. This post will be dependent on Early Years funding from Gloucestershire County Council as part of the child’s education, health and care (EHC) plan. The post’s hours (please see below) may increase dependent on the family’s request and whether further funding applications are successful.  The contract is for a minimum of 1 year, i.e. up to and including July 2026, commencing 1 September 2025 (we do ask for availability in July to enable transition into the setting). The successful candidate may be able to continue into the adjacent primary school as a 1:1 TA for this child. The hourly rate of pay will be in line with the National Living Wage or the National Minimum Wage. Please note: 1:1 hours within school will be dependent on funding and staffing arrangements to best support the needs of the child.

    We are a voluntary-run charity based Pre-school in the Leigh Building, St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School in picturesque Nympsfield.  We are open Monday to Friday, term time only.

    The post is to support a caring and enthusiastic 1:1 child who enjoys engaging with peers with their kind nature. We ask that the 1:1 has understanding of how best to support the child, who has Down Syndrome, to flourish within their education. The child will be attending on a Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 8:45am – 3:15pm, totalling 26 hours a week; initially this role will be split with their current 1:1 meaning the remaining hours will be as an Early Years practitioner within the setting.

    We are looking for a kind and caring individual who is enthusiastic, uses their initiative and is very patient and adaptable. It is desirable but not essential for applicants to have First Aid and Makaton/Total Communication training or be willing to complete this, at the cost of the setting, by the beginning of September.  Applicants do not need to have childcare qualifications.  However, a minimum appropriate Level 2 qualification would be desirable but not essential.  Applicants will develop a good knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), be able to work as part of an established team and develop excellent communication skills.

    We are seeking a dedicated and passionate person to take on the role of Manager to join our lovely team and to oversee the day-to-day running of this very busy setting.

    Having a strong understanding of the EYFS Framework, safeguarding, policies and procedures and awareness of changes in practice when they arise are essential for this role. 2 years minimum experience required. Qualified at NVQ Level 3 in Children’s Care, Learning and Development or above. A good understanding of SEND and confidence with IT is a must.

    We are looking for that person who is passionate about early years education and care and can also demonstrate a clear love for working with children from age 2 years 6 months to 4 years old. You will need to be able to plan and deliver engaging age appropriate activities that nurture learning and creativity in a safe and inspiring environment, observe, assess and track children’s individual progress and support children’s social, emotional and personal development.
