This is a unique opportunity for an experienced practitioner to join us in the running of a nursery and pre-school facility for 2, 3 and 4 year olds. The nursery opened in September 2021 as part of Great Oldbury Primary Academy. This is a chance to join a highly experienced and professional team with the aim of providing an excellent early years setting for local children.

The successful candidates will be passionate about working in childcare, supporting a team and someone who relishes the challenge of keeping practice current and relevant. You will be responsible to the Nursery Manager. The desired candidate must be passionate about children’s learning and development, have excellent communication skills, enjoy getting messy and embrace all aspects of learning indoors and outdoors, whatever the weather. A successful applicant must have a keen belief in a child centred approach and learning through play. They will share our passion for providing a creative curriculum and will share our love of open-ended investigation and exploration.

Great Oldbury Primary Academy - Little Learners will benefit from being part of a multi-academy trust, the Gloucestershire Learning Alliance (GLA) which is rooted in a partnership ethos and a determination to ensure that young people receive an exceptional education. This provides enormous advantages for the successful candidates who will also have colleagues from other partner nurseries to share good practice and collaborate and moderate with. This includes a programme of continuous professional development and the sharing of specialist expertise and advice.

A level 3 early years qualification (NNEB, NVQ3, BTEC or equivalent) is an essential requirement. All applicants must have at least 1 year experience working within an early years setting.

We will offer you a warm and welcoming school community, the opportunity to join a growing Multi Academy Trust, a commitment to developing your CPD, access to our reward and discount platform GLAdvantage and to our employee health and wellbeing service.
