Makaton is a multi-modal language programme that uses signs, symbols and speech for children and adults with speech, language and communication needs to build on their understanding and use of speech and language.

These are fun, informal sessions with a chance to practise the signs and symbols taught with each other and learn a new skill. You will receive workbooks, a certificate of attendance and will learn around 250 signs and symbols over the four sessions. 

The Level 1 and Level 2 training in Makaton covers Stages 1-4 of the Core Vocabulary over four sessions. (Please note attendance by the same person at all sessions is required.)

The course fee includes a Makaton workbook which normally retails at £35
