Information, Advice and Guidance from our Experienced Team

Our small and friendly staff team have a wealth of knowledge that enables us to offer personal support to our members.

Armed with up to date knowledge of the sector, particularly community groups, we understand the specific and unique challenges faced by you and your team.

We keep up to date with what's happening 'on the ground' through our own PATA Managed Groups and from our support visits, so our advice is grounded in recent practice.  Our members know that they can trust our advice and that if we don’t know straight away we’ll find someone who does.

Tailored Charity Constitution

PATA Members can hold our Group Constitution which is specifically tailored for charity, committee-led settings.  Our most recent version allows 40:60% parent/non parent make-up to help with committee recruitment, and for a staff member to join the committee enabling the Manager to be the Nominated Individual for Ofsted.  We also provide guidance notes and specific training for committee members (Trustees). 

Support Visits

Our friendly and knowledgeable Support Officer can come out to your setting for a 2 hour visit.  This can be tailored to your needs, covering everything from a short setting 'health check', specific safeguarding support, focus on curriculum or even just a supportive chat.  For charitable settings this is free of charge once each academic year.  Other settings can access it for a reasonable fee.
