SEND: Supporting Children with Additional Needs and Behaviour

Course Aim: the aim of this session is to explore how to support children with SEND looking at behaviour as a way of communication.

Course Information: During this practical and reflective session, we will explore how to support children with SEND by deepening our understanding of behaviour as communication. We’ll look at the impact of sensory integration on behaviour, and how to recognise and respond to sensory needs in the setting. The course will also focus on building and nurturing meaningful, restorative relationships that support children’s wellbeing and development. Ideal for anyone working closely with EYFS children with additional needs.

Suitable For: All Early Years Practitioners. 

Delivered by:  Kelly Turner, who has worked in education for over 16 years. Kelly is a SEND consultant in Gloucestershire.
