The Role of the Key Person

Course Aim: To define the term 'Key Person' and explore what the EYFS statutory framework says about the Key Person. 

Course Information: During the session, we will cover:

• attachment theory and the importance of the Key Person (rather than the key worker system) to support early years children and their families.  
• discuss the role of the Key Person
• Understand some of the key principles of attachment theory
• Identify the overarching principles of the EYFS and reflect how you can support these as the Key Person

Suitable for: All Early Years Practitioners

Delivered by: Sue Asquith, an award winning, freelance trainer and published author with over 26 years of experience in working in the early  years sector including working as a registered childminder, working in affiliation with her local children's centres, working on DfE funded projects, assessing and writing and delivering training throughout the UK and internationally.

• Please note zoom/teams invitations will be sent out 24 hours before the course/meeting starts. We are unable to send out zoom/teams invitations until your invoice has been settled. 
• Payment is required within 7 days of the invoice date or 24 hours before a course/meeting starts (whichever is sooner). If payment cannot be made within this timeframe then please email training@pataglos.org.uk to agree an extension to your payment deadline, otherwise, your place on the course may be cancelled.
