    Playgroup Bank Staff required - Term Time Only, Part-Time, Temporary Position. Pay: £12.21 per hour, rising to £12.71 from 1 April 2026.

    Whiteshill Playgroup has been serving the families of Whiteshill and the wider Stroud area since 1985. We have a fantastic team, all of whom are professional, enthusiastic, and passionate about early years education.

    We are seeking experienced early years practitioners to join our bank staff team, mostly covering for illness, busy periods, and other unexpected events. The role is on an ad hoc basis, but it’s likely that at least one successful applicant will be offered one day a week until the end of the academic year.

    The playgroup is open daily during term time from 8:30am - 3:00pm, Tuesday to Friday, and welcomes children between 2 and 4 years old.

    Applicants should possess an NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Early Years Education & Childcare or equivalent, and be proactive and motivated to assist the existing team in the day-to-day running of the setting. You will help deliver play-based activities for the children that foster a fun and stimulating environment, and support their learning and development in accordance with the EYFS framework.

    Early Years Educator. Monday to Thursday afternoons, 12:30pm to 6:00pm. Hours can be discussed but would be looking at a minimum of 22 hours a week. We are an open all year round nursery in the Reddings area of Cheltenham. Salary will be discussed during the interview stage and will be based upon qualifications and experience.

    We are looking for an early years educator to join our expanding team in our warm caring nursery. The candidate will need to be kind, caring and have a love for children. They need to be excited to watch children develop and have an ability to make everyday fun. Story times need to be exhilarating and take the children’s imaginations too far off lands. They must be able to plan wonderful activities based on the children they have in the care and challenge them to learn new things on a daily basis. They must be prepared for hard work, keep children safe and have fantastic teamwork and communicative skills. If you are this person, we would love to hear from you.

    Key Worker Role, term time only, permanent position. We are happy to discuss working days and hours but looking to offer 12 -15 hours per week. Please get in touch if you think this is something that would work for you. Pay starting at £13.62 depending on qualification and experience.

    We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive minimum Level 2 Early Years practitioner to join our team! Up to date First Aid and Safeguarding/Child Protection training desirable. This Key Worker role is for our small, friendly preschool in Prestbury, Cheltenham. If you value the care and professionalism in all early years practitioners and want to be part of a safe and exciting environment for children aged 2 and a half to 4 years old then please get in touch. Expect lots of outdoor play, messy opportunities and fun conversations with little ones!

    The successful candidate will help the setting follow a Planning in the Moment approach which focuses on each child’s ability to steer their own learning through play. You will have your own key group of children to ensure every child’s needs are supported. You must be able to work well in our small team to support the running of the setting. Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework and Child Development is expected in this role.

    1:1 Early Years Practitioner Position Part-time, Fixed Term Contract, Term Time Only (dependent on funding). This post will be dependent on Early Years funding however currently we are looking for someone to support a child in our setting between 12 hours a week, across three days (Monday, Tuesday and Thursday). Salary will be dependent on qualification and experience. The post is fixed term contract until the end of the academic year (17th July 2026); dependent on Early Years funding. Potential Start Date: ASAP

    We are a voluntary-run charity pre-school based in the Leigh Building, St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School in picturesque Nympsfield.  We are open Monday to Friday, term time only.

    The post will be a fixed term contract until the end of the academic year (17th July 2026); dependent on Early Years funding. The child is currently having an EHCNA therefore there is potential for this role to continue into the 2026-2027 academic year either at the Pre-school setting or adjacent Primary School depending on parents decision for school starting year.

    We are looking for a kind and caring individual who is enthusiastic, uses their initiative and is very patient and adaptable. Applicants do not need to have childcare qualifications however a minimum appropriate Level 3 qualification would be desirable but not essential. Applicants will develop a good knowledge of the EYFS, be able to work as part of an established team and develop excellent communication skills.

    A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our new PATA creche service. This Gloucester based service supports families and community partners by offering high quality, safe and nurturing childcare in a welcoming environment. Our creche will operate in well equipped, community locations across Gloucester with inviting spaces that encourage play, exploration and early development.

    This is a flexible role with ad hoc hours, ideal for someone who is passionate about working with young children and can provide high-quality support. Creche sessions will run for 2 hours, with staff paid for 3 hours per session to cover set up and close down. We are looking for enthusiastic Early Years Practitioners with a Level 2 qualification or above to join our pool of creche workers. You will help to deliver a warm and engaging experience for young children under 5.

    We are initially running a block of 8 weekly sessions on Wednesdays with hours between 9:30am - 3:30pm but are keen to hear from anyone interested in joining our creche worker pool who may be able to support on other days in the future. 

    The ideal candidate will be committed to providing an excellent standard of care, enjoy working as part of a supportive team and bring creativity, energy and a genuine passion for early years. You will need to be confident in working with parents and carers including those who may feel anxious about leaving their child, perhaps for the first time.

    Peadiatric First Aid is desirable although not essential.

    Could you be our next Treasurer?

    Did you know PATA is a charitable organisation?  Like many community settings, PATA is managed by a group of Committee Members (known as our Board of Trustees).

    Our Trustees give up their own time and work quietly in the background to keep things running smoothly.  This allows us to concentrate on supporting both our Members and our Managed Groups, whilst working towards our charitable aims.

    The Board of Trustees are now recruiting for a new Treasurer to join their friendly team:

    "A special someone who can advise on financial responsibilities and oversee the preparation and scrutiny of our annual accounts"

    Would you like the opportunity to work in our popular and busy Early Years setting? 

    If so, we are looking for a friendly person to provide break cover for our team at PATA @ Tiny Tots which is based in Longlevens. The working hours and times each day will be: Monday – Friday, 11:00am – 1:00pm. Fixed term contract to the end of the summer term 2026.

    The successful candidate must enjoy spending time with children and be enthusiastic and proactive. Ideally you will have a paediatric first aid certificate but this is not essential.  This is a great opportunity to experience working in a successful early years setting with opportunities for training and career progression for those who are interested.  Please get in touch if this sounds like you!
