    Manager, Full Time pro rata. Term Time Only. Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm. Salary £18 - £20/hr (£32.000 - £36.000). Looking for an immediate start or September 2025, ready for the start of the academic year.

    We are seeking a dedicated and passionate person to take on the role of Manager to join our lovely team and to oversee the day-to-day running of this very busy setting.

    Having a strong understanding of the EYFS Framework, safeguarding, policies and procedures and awareness of changes in practice when they arise are essential for this role. 2 years minimum experience required. Qualified at NVQ Level 3 in Children’s Care, Learning and Development or above. A good understanding of SEND and confidence with IT is a must.

    We are looking for that person who is passionate about early years education and care and can also demonstrate a clear love for working with children from age 2 years 6 months to 4 years old. You will need to be able to plan and deliver engaging age appropriate activities that nurture learning and creativity in a safe and inspiring environment, observe, assess and track children’s individual progress and support children’s social, emotional and personal development.

    Helping ALL children thrive through play and have lots of fun whilst doing it.

    You will be expected to demonstrate excellent communication skills and be confident in liaising with children’s families and all staff/visitors at the setting.

    The position is subject to a full DBS check and completion of a full induction.

    Nursery Nurse/ Assistant – full time position Monday to Thursday, 8:00am – 6:00pm and Fridays 8:00am to 3:00pm. Part time positions can be discussed. We are an open all year round nursery and an attractive salary that will be based on qualifications and/or experience.

    We are looking for an enthusiastic, passionate individual who is keen to give children the best start in life in a warm and friendly setting, where every staff member is valued and appreciated.

    The candidate will need to be kind, caring and have a love for children. They need to be excited to watch children develop and have an ability to make everyday fun. Story times need to be exhilarating and take the children’s imaginations too far off lands.     Flexible Part Time Early Years Supply Staff required - to cover staff holidays, sickness and seasonal additional hours. Early Years Level 2 or 3 preferred, but not essential as relevant training can be provided. Working hours will be dependent on the setting’s needs. The pre-school is open term time only - Monday to Friday 8:30am/9:00am – 3:00pm/3:30pm for children aged 2 – 5 years.

    We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced 1:1 Support Assistant to join our supportive and friendly team at Abbeymead Under 5s Playgroup. Hours: 12 hours per week (Term Time Only). Contract: Fixed term with the potential for hours to increase. Start Date: As soon as possible.

    This role involves providing 1:1 support for a child who communicates using non-verbal methods and has high sensory needs. The successful candidate will have experience working with children who benefit from alternative communication strategies and sensory-based approaches to learning and engagement.

    Key Responsibilities include; to provide consistent, individualised support to meet the child’s specific developmental and emotional needs, working collaboratively with the wider team to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment. Adapt activities and routines to support communication, regulation, and participation. Maintain accurate observations and contribute to the child’s learning journey and EHCP.

    The ideal candidate will hold a relevant childcare qualification at Level 2 or 3, have experience supporting children with additional needs, particularly those who are non-speaking and require sensory support. Demonstrate a calm, empathetic, and flexible approach, be committed to inclusive early years education and possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

    Pre-School Assistant, term time only.  We are looking for Level 2 or 3 qualified practitioners to join us!  We have 2 positions available; one part time and the other possibly full time.  We are looking to expand our hours 3 times a week until 5pm, hours may involve working till 5pm on those days.  Start Date: September 2025.

    You must hold a full and relevant qualification and you must be creative, caring, enthusiastic, eager to learn new things, not afraid to get messy, be a great team player, inspire others, be able to sing with the children (even if you can’t sing – don’t worry, we can’t!) and be able to use your initiative. 

    A good knowledge of the EYFS is desirable, a passion for working in early years is essential and experience with SEN would be beneficial but not essential.
