In our last training survey many of you asked for free training and we are delighted to be working with Yoginis Yoga Training Ltd to enable us to bring this workshop to you, our members, free of charge. There will also be the opportunity for you to obtain further discounted training from Yoginis Yoga Training Ltd to become a Yoga Teacher in Early Years.*
Join us for this hour long workshop, where there will be the opportunity to:
Understand how yoga and mindfulness can support mental health and wellbeing in supporting development including; body awareness and sense of self, exploring new experiences with self confidence, co and self regulation to build better relationships, support kindness and respect for self and others,
See how both staff and children can benefit from the tools and techniques of yoga and mindfulness
Become aware of what yoga is and the importance of a scheme of work that is fit for purpose in a learning environment in order to support key development in children and build life skills
Discover what should be included in a yoga session to support self regulation, learning and development
Take away ideas to implement
There will be some easy movement participation with the audience and some interactive commentary. Movement is key to learning and movement and learning are key to brain development. Any interactive physical activity will not require you to move from in front of your chair should you wish to stand.
After the workshop PATA Members will be supplied with a link to free resources and a free course ‘Introduction to Teaching Yoga to Children’ which can be shared with your staff members so they can begin to implement the ideas straight away. PATA Members will also receive information about discounted training which can be undertaken directly with Yoginis Yoga.
*Further discounted training is also a member benefit requiring a current PATA membership.
